Circles of Hearts Checkerboard Baby Afghan
G hook, just took a bunch of scrap yarn & put them together. Very easy to mix & match as you go. I used brighter & duller colors to accent ea other. Bordered ea sq with white.

Mine was 22 sts from corner st to corner st on ea block x 4 blocks = 88 sts. Multiple of 4 so I skipped every 3 sts.
Rnd 1: Join yarn in corner w/ ss, (ch 3, hdc, sc, hdc, dc) in 1st st, sk next 3 sts, *(ch 3, hdc, sc, hdc, dc) in next st, sk next 3 sts*, rep * to* round the entire edge of afghan, ss into beginning ch 3—DO NOT TURN
Rnd 2: *ch 1, hdc2tog, ch 1, ss in 1st st from hook, ss into last st worked on rnd, ch 1, hdc2tog, ch 1, ss in 1st ch from hook, ss in next st*, rep * to * round the entire afghan, after you make the last ss in the rnd ss into the 1st ss of rnd for more security, fasten off & weave in ends.
